Before Words: The Body's Language of Emotional Release

  • 24 Steps

About

This workshop explores the nonverbal communication systems of the human body, specifically crying, screaming, and moaning. Based on neurophysiological research and clinical trials, the program explains how emotional vocalizations involve the periaqueductal gray and autonomic nervous system before the thinking brain can organize words. Participants will learn to interpret sounds as distress signals, pain indicators, or sensory intensity, moving from instinctive reactions to supportive regulation. The course provides a compassionate framework for understanding early childhood attachment, trauma-related expression, and the biological necessity of emotional discharge.
